Sascha Jovanovic - He was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University and in Prosthodontics at University of Aachen, Germany and holds a Master of Sciences degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. He graduated dental school from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands (ACTA).

Since 1990 he resides in Los Angeles and has trained thousands of dentists worldwide the art and science of implant dentistry, bone and soft tissue grafting and his esthetic protocols. He restricts his patient and research work for over 20 years to dental implant therapy and bone & soft tissue reconstruction, is Course director in Implant Dentistry at UCLA Continuing Dental Education. 
He is past-president of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO), and past-Board member of AO’s Osseointegration Foundation. He was the program chair of the EAO 2000 annual scientific congress, recipient of the young investigator fellowship of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Implantology award of the California Society of Periodontists and the German Implant Society Research award. He is an honorary member of the South African Society of Periodontology.

Dr. Roland Glauser is a graduate of the University of Zürich. From 1997 to 2006 Dr. Glauser was the assistant professor and senior lecturer at the Department for Fixed Prosthodontics and Dental Materials at the University of Zürich. He has been the co-director of the Zürich Dental Center since the spring of 2006. Dr. Glauser was the president of the scientific board of the Swiss Society of Oral Implantology and is an active member of the European Association for Osseointegration EAO. He has published several articles and textbook chapters on the subject of restorative dentistry and osseointegrated implants. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Biomechanics and for the Journal of Oral Rehabilitation. Dr. Glauser has lectured extensively throughout Europe and he received an Academy Award at the Annual AO Meeting in Palm Springs for his presentation in 1999.

Dr. Peter Wöhrle received his DMD degree cum laude and Master of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (1988). Additionally, he has completed advanced education programs in prosthodontics and implant dentistry at Harvard, and a four-year certified dental technician program in Switzerland. While at Harvard, he worked with his mentor, Dr. Paul Schnitman, on the groundbreaking concept of immediate loading with Brånemark implants. Once in private practice, Dr. Wöhrle applied these principles to the concept of immediate tooth replacement in the esthetic zone. More recently, Dr. Wöhrle developed the NobelPerfect scalloped margin implant system. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the European Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the American College of Prosthodontists. He is renowned as the only dentist with formal training in the interrelated fields of implants surgery, prosthodontics, and laboratory technology. 

Description:

The last few years have seen major advancements in biological understanding of peri-implant soft tissues, bone regenerative results and implant aesthetics. These advances have allowed a very precise 3-dimensional implant position and a predictable restorative result with natural beauty and gingival harmony. Results from 3 clinical centers with the new scalloped implant to maintain inter-implant bone and papilla tissues will be presented. A panel discussion will be moderated between the 3 presenters.
